Post by neon krazy419 » Fri Sep 24, 2010 2:12 pm

well everyone My neon has been 100% great to me but i got a cash offer for it i can not refuse. So in two weeks my neon is being sold, and i'm going to pick up my new ride :) A 13B RX7 5-speed. If i do not like the RX7 i can get a eclipse GSX too. I don't know which one to get i have been told the rx7 will keep up with the bad ass version of a supra turbo (stock) and i will beat alot of cars, so idk if i believe that but i heard it.... And the GSX is not stock, has some modifications, but isn't like a project car. So my question for all of you is WHICH CAR SHOULD I BUY?!

I'm with you on that one Teej. The GSX is a far superior car.

yup, GSX. it has the 4G63T engine, you will be happier in the long run with it than the rotary

Too bad for the loss of the Neon. I'm not fond of either choice in your poll so I can't vote- sorry that I'm not more supportive.

i voted the GSX simply because it will be more reliable than a rotary engine.

Both are very prone to breaking a lot. Not really a vehicle i would want as a college student. If i had to choose though it would be the DSM. Atleast the DSM is a 1gn otherwise i'd be worried about crank walk and rotary is just wrong. You never stick a dorito into a pringles can.

If I had to choose between those I would go with the eclipse, but I wouldn't want either. What shape are they in and how hard were they driven?

i personally want the Rx7 which is why i asked, i have rebuilt (not myself but friends cars) an rx7 and a 1gn dsm, so i'm not totally lost on either car, but i'm just torn between them. My friend said other then 1 sensor in a year he has had no problems with his TSI and it's his daily driver. And i have a neighbor with an RX7 and he said his runs great and he has had no problems. Either way i'm affraid of these cars because either motor hasn't come off to me as "strong" but the RX7 is really fast stock. And the neon keeps up with a 1gn DSM tsi awd that i raced he beat me by half a car all he had done was a intake, BOV, and apex turbo timer. So i'm not really sure which one but i'm leaning towards the DSM alot of you say it is more reliable than the Rx7.

lmao I was gonna say a rotary or a dsm. both sound like terribly unreliable choices. doesn't start monthly vs. doesn't start ever... :-k

Whoever tells you they haven't had issues with their DSM is a damn liar.

I've had SEVERAL friends with DSMs...and they have all had A LOT of issues.

I wish I could revise your poll to anything but, because between the two, I hope you either enjoy walking or have a bus pass, cause you'll need it thats for sure.
