I do. I had family that did it for years back home in NFLD. It's better than being a welfare bumb, or a drug dealer, or freeloading off family or some person/persons. People have blown this professsion out of the water. Seal clubbing usually you kill them in the first blow..rarely does it take more than one hit to kill them...which is more human? How about capital punishement? man sits in a jail cell for 10,20 maybe more years knowing he's gonna die then is told, waits and goes through all the death watches and then finally electricuted or injected...there is a TON or mental torture in that prosses...and hitting a seal in the head once is cruel? and people judge it? Not getting upset or defensive or want to start a huge drama...but there is somethings that people should think about before condeming the hunt (at least that's my thoughts and opinion)

Radar, patriotism isn't normally a bad thing, but I believe yours is blind patriotism and it causes you to seem very hypocritical. I'm not trying to put you down, start something, call you out, or anything like that, I'm just saying what several people are thinking.

Mox...you don't know me...you don't know what I know...and you can't say I have "blind Patriotism". Cause trust me I don't. I have sacraficed a marriage, appendix, and almost 3 years of my life for what I believe in and for my country. I know alot about the "politics" of my country to be the last person to just fall in and be "blind." I left the military cause I didn't stand for supporting your counrtries leader at the time anymore (Bush). I lost 5 friends of the total amount or soldiers lost in Afghanistan so far. And for one of them was killed by that american pilot. Yet I did 1.5 tours there.

I didn't try to "defend" the seal hunt by compairing it to capital punishment. I proved my point (in my eyes) that people automatically defend this process cause they aren't "cute cuddly" baby seals. Like someone else said it's not as bad as getting veil...ok...we will compair the seal hunt to animal cruelty....people torturing dogs and...no wait....there is 2 states in the united states that still legally allow "cock fighting" isn't that more inhuman than a hunt that has happened for generations? It is in my "blind patriotism". But then again..apperently i'm right out there and alot of people think i'm a hypocrit...where am i being one? show me a text book example of me doing that?
