I think my Professor said about 8 grand just to purchase? Not 100% sure on the price. The hopping I just don't get at all.

I've got to admit, it is pretty damned good looking. I'd try it if I had the money and wanted a luxury feel. Air ride is that good though

It is old and the hopping is showing that the car can go over obstacles to not mess up the suspension yet the suspension can hangle the load of the vehicle.

Haven't looked into this at all, however I did watch something a while back about military recon Humvees using struts filled with a fluid that has metallic shavings in it and is capable of becoming "stiff" or flowing free. This is good for rough terrain, but the price of the fluid makes it not feasible for a civilian purpose.
It's like this stuff. magneto-rheological fluid

The Corvette came with a magnetic suspension during the C5 years, may have only been the 50th anniversary though.

Also 3000gt VR4 and stealth RT/TT had the magneto-rheological fluid to make the car lower down when your going so fast.

Man, this has got to be like 10 years old by now.
This is a full electromagnetic suspension, not to be confused with the Magnetorheological fluid suspensions that come in corvetss and caddy's and others. Completely different.

^ I wasn't insinuating they were the same. Only that MR suspensions existed.
