Have a Happy New Year everyone! I'm getting ready to go to work until 3AM, because for some reason, they believe everyone is going to want to come into the restaurant all night, I guess, for fcuking fried shrimp or something, instead of being at the bars or parties.

I'm with you on the dull part. I'm heading to bed I'm exhausted from working all day. I had sushi though...rather than a frozen pizza, worked and washed the car. I'll be sound asleep when the ball drops.

That is the New Years eve I should have done.

Instead I dragged myself along with some food to the party the boss was putting on at his place.

After being there for an hour and drowning myself with 2 Corona's I discover I'm not the only one who is tired and sleepy. Half of us spend the rest of the evening encouraging each other to stay awake while yawning at each other while the rest of the group seemingly proceed to engage in that years end/year begin tradition... end the old year drunk and begin the new year drunk.

Oh well, I enjoyed the company.

On the way home I stopped at a 3-way "T" intersection stop and made my left turn for the road home while the car coming in the opposite direction made a U-turn in the intersection and proceeded to follow me all the way to the interstate... turned out to be a cop looking for a drunk or some other infraction to pull over.

Did he really think I would not notice the U-turn in the middle of the intersection in my rear-view? ...suppose if I was drunk I would not.
