so no racing or anything... but just a thing...

so as some of you may know i crashed my neon.. since then i have been driving my girlfriends 07 auto civic 4 door.... and in all honestly its faster than my neon, however the power feels flat and it just kinda like no backbone at all...

so why is this..? why does it suck...

lack of torque most likely, our cars and majority of hondas. Plus it being an auto is no fun :(

Google says 140 hp 128 tq, 2,875 pounds curb weight. Versus like 132 hp 130 tourque and a 1,171 pd curb weight. Seems like a big difference in weight to me?

umm idk where ur getting that weight but mine weighed about 2600 lbs but ya so i guess its the torque to weight ratio...

Did not seem very 2GN Neon related... more Civic related. IE: Off Topic

:P

132hp, 130ft/lbs, and 1,171 lbs weight? I think you need to check up on your facts.

You're probably just noticing a lack of torque, but yeah, they're still damn slow.

I did a quick google search and the first time I found for a stock 07 automatic civic was a 16.8.

I would think a Neon would be somewhat comparable to that... and to consider 16s fast...

My Corolla is probably that fast and I KNOW my truck was faster than that... lol.

Wait until you get something fast.

lol i know its not fast but its just not terrible slow... my mom has a 350 so ive driven fast.. just comparing it to a neon it doesnt feel like it has any balls... but im lookin for something to drive period... lol 1gn coupe??

^^Totally agree with you John.

I think my car is slow and last time I had it out it went 12.7 in the 1/4. My neon's best time was 13.7 but it felt ten times faster on the butt dyno because it was lighter and had more of an abrupt torque curve. The G force curve is different between cars for obvious reasons.

I think you need to buy the white SRT swapped neon in the classifieds.

Where on google did you find 1100lbs for the weight?

This is for a 06+ Civic
Curb weight 2,886 lb (1,309 kg) (coupe)
2945 (sedan)
