Tech Schools
I have some questions for you guys if anyone went to a tech school, what is your take on UTI and Lincoln Tech. I heard Lincoln Tech is bad, but is UTI similar or better? Do they give you a certificate or a degree? I just about had it with my college (which gives you a degree) they're making me take classes that are just not necessarily and it's really fucking me over with my automotive classes. Especially my scum bag delusional nazi brakes teacher, but that's a different story. Opinions on UTI and Lincoln Tech and opinions on should I stay in this P.O.S of a school (who if I may add has fucked up every single one of my credits since I started 2 YEARS AGO). For anyone whose a sarcastic ass, don't be trying to make a good decision here.

They tell me what I want to hear just so I can go to there school I visited both, but I just want some personal experience if you get what I'm trying to say. Like I don't want to hear it FROM the school itself I want to hear it from people who have been there or graduated if you get what I'm trying to say?
Tech Schools
A friend of mine went to UTI and now he is working on deisel tug boats in Louisiana and bringing down good bucks. Must be doing something right, he just just bought and paid for a new Harley.

they both suck. do yourself a favor and save money going to a good community college. you will then have a degree an not just certificate. you learn more and spend less. the only reason those schools are popular is because they get you out fast an have nice equipment. go ask your local dealers if they like hiring uti graduates and get back to me....
Yup it definately needs to go lower. If its not scrapeing constantly why you are driving then its not low enough bro.
I hadn't thought about community colleges for auto mechanics (although I have an associates degree in computer programming and a professional driver certificate from one). Good information- I have always wanted to go to school and learn how to work on cars since I have no mechanical aptitude whatsoever.

i'll also recommend community college, the college i went to offered mechanic degrees (ase certified) and my buddy was in the program, he said they did a great job teaching them stuff and he has a great job now in the field.

The teachers at linccoln tech are good but the administration and the head quarters in NJ are a bunch of penny pinching business people that don't know squat about cars and don't listen to what all the master tech teachers are saying, go to a dealership and ask about their training program I know chryslers program is called CAP. Good luck with the search wish I could do cap but I'm so far in lincoln tech I can't justify leaving now

If you go the community college route, look for one that specializes in technical aspects.
