Extremely weird. Considering the amount of bratty little kids and fat lazy dirty slobs frequent that place. Doesn't sound like your kind of place at all.

Myth. Insurance is the same as a LHD vehicle, depends on if you're stupid enough to go with an uninformed insurer.

The only freak outs I've had were at Down Town Disney during peak season waiting for our dining reservation at Raglan Road and another one waiting in line for Expedition Everest at Animal Kingdom.

There are bratty kids, fat slobs, lazy people with electric scooters, rude Brazilian Tour groups, etc etc.. but it really isn't that bad. Disney World and Universal Orlando have enough areas to get away from the crowds and places to relax that I can actually control my anxiety, and if I get too bad I always stay on-site and can just take a quick trip to the Hotel to cool off. With 4 theme Parks, 2 water parks, downtown disney, 22 on-site resorts, 2 miniature golf courses at Disney World and 2 parks, citywalk, 3 on-site resorts at Universal, there is always something to do and it's one of the few places that I can go and actually feel normal.

I'm a Disney World and Universal Orlando expert. I've written a few to-do guides for people at work. It's like some sort of weird bizarre encyclopedic knowledge of the parks and resorts.

Alex, I'll tell you a little story about my parents. They used to winter in Las Vegas back in the 80's. My mother is crazy about the casinos (still is! ) but my father soon grew tired of them and just sat around their apartment at night by himself. After a few years, he told my mother that he didn't care to go out there anymore. Well, my mother started saving her money from her annual garage sales and just took trips there by herself. My folks did continue to go to NASCAR races together but it was understood that Vegas was something that my mother liked and my father let her go to enjoy herself.

My point is- why can't your wife just let you enjoy your car? There's nothing wrong with having interests that both of you don't share.

I will tell ya why Gramps

She doesn't think....she keeps saying grow up and stop living in the world of youth! and all the rest..be a dad and grow up...

Well I am grown up and stuff that.>I still wanna be cool whats wrong with that !

I drive my car every day and she assumes it will be fine and nothing will ever go wrong...she is one of those that would drive it till the engine seized up due to lack of oil...of course I need brakes done twice a year and at least 3 or 4 services a year...I drive the freakin car every day I tell her! Any car I drive is going to do that too....

As I drive it 250km a week things wear and tear...fair enuf...but she thinks things should last longer..."its always my car my car my car" spending money on it always...of course cars are money pits...

I said if anything I'm buying another NEW car .........fucked if I'm gonna buy a second hand one with more problems...

When I bought it nothing went wrong cause it was new that's what she wants again...

And something more practical...but more so the costs involved with older cars...ie things going wrong and wearing out!

I know my car is only a freakin Neon but HELL its my car I bought it new and its a part of me now...I'm dont wanna get rid of it just for the sake of it...

if you give up all your hobbies and sit around playing "dad" all day, i promise you WILL be misserable! you need to get out and do something and enjoy the things YOU like to do.
Been there done that my friend, she really needs to find a middle ground with you are shit's just not gonna work.

you can be a daddy and drive a Neon.
My 11 year old daughter loves her cool daddy with the SRT - and is laughing about the other OLD daddies with their stupid boring family cars. Yes - you can be 25 and you can already be OLD and boring.
Stay young (but hmmm - don't try it too hard...)
One day you will find out that you stopped being cool and turned into something you used to laugh about - just because you listen to your wife instead of ignoring her rant.

And THAT day you will jump on the 20 year old secretary and throw away your boring old life with that boring old housewive and the boring family wagon.

Why don't you just by a 2nd car and keep the Neon as a toy - maybe with season plates?

Everybody needs his own island just to BE.
And if someone tries to attack your island: fight, don't give up or you will end as a useless slave dreaming of freedom. And one day you will destroy your chains. And that day will not be nice!
You really wanna do that? You really wanna let someone doing that to you?

Exact reason why we are looking at getting a Journey for me to drive around in. The neon will be "dad's toy" after we get it.

Why do you keep saying you can't. Like you can't tell her that you aren't selling the neon.

You afraid to stand up to her? Does she have a gun? lol

Dude, my dad is sleeved with tattoos, parties more than me and is in a traditional hot rod club.

Builds crazy shit like wheel barrows with a 18hp motor or riding lawn mowers with a 1200cc motorcycle engine.

He's "grown up" but still has fun...

Growing up doesn't mean you have to sit in the house and play scrabble all night.

As harsh as it sounds, it seems she is no longer interested in who you are. And she expects you to be what she wants, instead of going through the trouble of being the bitch that broke up the family. Possibly, she is putting pressure on you, so you will be the "bad guy" in the relationship.

This. Very common tool. Also, it could be a simple mis-direction. She's done something bad and is trying to distract you from it.

I think a lot of the time, honesty, understanding, and will can save a marriage...your mileage may vary.
Fix it 'till it's broken. Then upgrade.

hehe - i had 3 cars the last 12 years - but way more girlfriends...

but now i have someone who respects my quirks...
and she totally agrees: it would be absolutely unbearable if one partner does not respect the hobbies/character of the other partner and sooner or later this will cause an unfixable break!
