kentuckyale.com wrote:Award winning Kentucky Bourbon Barrel Ale is a unique sipping beer with the distinctive nose of a well-crafted bourbon. Our Kentucky Ale is aged for up to 6 weeks in freshly decanted bourbon barrels from some of Kentucky’s finest distilleries.
Subtle yet familiar flavors of vanilla and oak are imparted to this special ale as it rests in the charred barrels. Pleasantly smooth and robust, Kentucky Bourbon Barrel Ale may also be served as an aperitif or after dinner drink.
Other than that I am a Yuengling guy. I like their Lager, Light Lager, and their Black and Tan. I would like to try their Porter and their Premium and Light Beers.
That looks good. I'll have to see if it is around here at the large store I go to. Doubtful, but worth a look.

World Market sells it, but they were sold out when I went.

They also have Skull Splitter, but I was short on funds...
The Smithwicks was very tasty.

I've always liked amber beers. Killians Irish Red, Fat Tire, Jeremiah Red (BJ's), etc. I can also appreciate lighter colored beers as long as they're quality and full flavored. Not a fan of BL/CL/MGD but I'll drink them at a party if I have to. Honestly I don't drink nearly as much beer as I used to! Maybe a couple times a month, at best.

Hello, my name is Jason... and I am a beer snob as well.
I always enjoy trying beer from any microbreweries I come across. Each time I stock the fridge I try to go for something different that I hadn't had before. The most recent stocking was beer I stocked up on from Cincinnati brewed by Christian Moerlein... was some pretty good stuff but tis all gone now and I hadn't been able to restock with new stuff yet.
Right now the beer fridge in the garage is pretty bare and needs to be restocked. The only thing in there now is "safe beer" for when company comes over since most people don't seem to like good beer.

For the most part it only has some ShockTop which really isn't too bad but it's a pretty mild beer that just about anyone likes.
I have a few bottles of Fat Tire left, that's my stash I pick from.

The next restock I think is going to come from the local Greenville, SC microbrewery called Thomas Creek. I've had one or two of their beers and have been meaning to pickup a a 6-pack of each of their brews to go through and try. Some day I'd like to stop by their brewery on the way home since I pass right by it.
I used to be a big Miller Lite person but once you have good beer, it's hard having anything else.
For anyone that has a Mellow Mushroom pizzeria near them, I highly suggest you go and have a meal there and sign up for their beer club. Each one is a little different from what they stock but at the one closest to me they have over 20 beers on tap and 100+ bottled. It's truly a sight to behold. They also have a beer club. Once you try all the beers, you get free stuff like a shirt, hat, name immortalized on a plaque in the restaurant and an custom mug with you name engraved on it. It's nice that they have their own separate beer menu they give you. Sometimes it's hard to decide with so much to pick from.

Damn, it has been over 25 years since I have had that. No one here stocks it anymore.
There is a micro brewery in Harrisburg/Gettysburg called Appalachian Brewing Company.

We ate at the Gettysburg one last year on our way home. The food was pretty damn good. I didn't try any beer, due to the 6 hour drive ahead. Didn't know they had one in Harrisburg, so close to the HW. Didn't even know they existed 'till last year.

Next time you're in Cincy area be sure and pick some up. I stocked up at the Party Source across the river in Bellevue, KY... nice place for a huge selection. I think even Kroger and Meijer stocks some as well.

Off topic, But they have amazing Pizza! I unfortunately have never been with the crowd to be able to drink their beers
But I had a case of this a month back, and I loved it.

I've always liked a little shiner. Especially they're ruby redbird which is one of their seasonal brews with ginger and ruby red grapefruit. However most of my friends will drink Bud Light .

I was able to find shiner here in MD. I was pretty surprised, so I bought an unplanned 6 pack.
Good stuff.
