there were definitely some amazing shots in that contest, and i agree
mine definitely wasn't even the best, but not all the likes were fake..
the SRT Nation facebook page seemed to think mine should win and
they helped support me which got me a lot of likes.
i emailed the DriveSRT page and told them that it was a little unfair
that the yellow srt8 had all that support from his group, and they
said it was a contest to get the most individual likes and a chance
to get their page introduced to more facebookers. they said it was
completely fair that he had the support from his group, and that i
was welcome to do just the same. so i spread the word.
the contest was asking for a photo that... well, here's the description:
. We’re searching for the photo that best captures the feeling of a summer day behind the wheel of an SRT vehicle
a picture that represents summer, not a picture with the best quality.
honestly, i don't see how the yellow srt8 resembled summer in any
way, but to each their own??
and i didn't have more votes than everyone else in the contest..
hence the reason i didn't win, yo.

At the close of the contest you did. You had "299" and the SRT8 had "284". Read DriveSRT's official post for details on that.

It didn't matter who you got support from, be it forums, friends, family etc. It stated that in the initial post and in other posts regarding the contest. However 55+ of your "likes" were fake accounts....that is why you lost even when you "won".

i'm referring to this morning. last night when i fell asleep i only recall
having ~ 250-260? and i was roughly ahead by a few likes. when i
viewed my photo this morning i had 299 likes.
i really don't even care who won anymore, i'm more concerned about
who the hell got me stuck in this current situation. i'm looked at as a
liar and a cheater now, which is really fucked up and its starting to
piss me off. i didn't do anything but ask for likes, so why the hell am i
being accused of cheating? it wasn't me.

I agree with Crystal 100% your picture looked like a cell phone picture.

Contest ended at noon, at noon he had 284, you had 299. People can still "like" the picture even though the contest ended.
