They say: If you can't Dodge it....

Post by INVUJerry » Sat Dec 31, 2011 8:00 pm

Ram it, so I did.

Yesterday, a girl driving a mustang came up to a stop sign, stopped, and then started turning in front of me before she had looked my way. When she saw me she panicked and hit the gas instead of the brake. I didn't have time to stop. Everyone walked away from the accident, but we all ended up going to the hospital. My wife sprained her wrist and hurt her shoulder. I managed to hit my head on the roof and jam my knee into the dash. My step daughter and 16 month old son were both perfectly fine. The girl in the car got a small cut on her forehead but was okay after the accident.

I think my truck is gonna be fine, it wasn't leaking anything and I could have driven it away but the bumper was jammed up in the tire and I was feeling sort of woozy so I didn't want to chance it.

This is the rental I got until they fix my truck. Don't laugh, it's really nice lol. Leather, DVD player, back up camera, and it has 1800 miles on it!

Daaaaamn, glad everyone's ok for the most part. This is yet another reason why I'm thinking harder about getting a truck. Mustang totaled, truck dented, family fine. Hope the truck and everyone are fixable.

Yeah, I really hope the truck is fixable. It's paid off, and I've only had it since March. It's been my favorite vehicle I've owned. It's comfortable, rides nice, tows when I need it to, it's great. Everyone is okay, my wife has to wear a splint on her arm for 3-6 weeks, and a sling until her shoulder feels better. I've had a headache on and off since about noon yesterday.

Fuck that Mustang.
Fuck, That Mustang.
Fuck that, Mustang.

Headaches off and on? Sure you don't have a concussion?

Probably do. I got a cat scan done, they said all my brains were there despite what people might have told me. I didn't let them know I also had a neon.

Hit the gas instead of the brake? :-s Glad that everyone is okay but too bad about the damage to the Ram. I agree about the Town and Country- they're really nice!

Good to hear everyone survived basically intact.

That... is basically what really worries me here in
Texas where the drivers are so very unpredictable.

The only thing I can predict about them is they will
do something boneheaded.

It is bad enough in the best of times... but New Years
eve adds the DUI idiots to the scene... so I stayed off
the roads. According to some report San Antonio is the
19th drunkest city in the US... with Milwaukee being #1.

Do you suppose she will learn from this incident? I was
out for lunch with one of the guys from the office last
week where he was described two of his accidents...
both were caused by being inattentive... seems he did
not learn since I observed more of that inattentiveness
while driving in his vehicle to the restaurant.

So that's where the air scoop on the side of the mustangs goes - cooling down the rear speakers! It all makes sense now!

Not sure what motor it has, but it really hauls ass. I've laid some rubber patches down with it. And the stow n go seating is awesome!

If it's new, it's probably the Pentastar 3.6 liter V6.

Glad you and the family are ok!

...at least you got a Chrysler for a rental and not a god damn kia...

....(most) girls can't f*****g drive. Excluding LSP and I. LOL.

Seriously though - my dad taught me not to just drive for myself, but to drive for all of the idiots out there in the world who can't. I feel like a jerk but being extra cautious even at empty stop signs but I know it's for a reason.

I haz plenty of beer if you want some to feel better :)
