Which car magazine do you prefer?

Post by MyNeonSaysHi » Wed Jan 25, 2012 11:42 pm

Looking at getting a subscription to a car magazine. I had one with Motor Trend back in the day.. I enjoyed it.
But I hear Road and Track is where it is at due to focusing on CARS.
Car and Driver?

What do you guys think?

it's so cheap I just got both... it's like $20 for the states (12 months of each) and $37 for Canada.

I've been impressed with Car and Driver the past few years. It isn't totally about cars though. They do articles on new or in the works technologies and news that directly affects the automotive world. Most of their coverage is oriented towards cars that we would like (supercars, modern muscle), but they do acknowledge the rest of the car world as well.

Any magazine that I look forward to reading cover to cover each month is a very good thing, and this is one of them. Pick up the latest issue and look it over.
If I could just figure out how to meld the Outback and the Neon into one car...

I get board with Motor Trend. I only read it when it's free. It focuses on high end cars that are so far out of reach I will never own or want to own.

Currently I'm subscribed to Hot Rod and Car Craft, of those I like Car Craft better.

Sounds good!
I went to Target in between jobs and they only had one issue of Road and Track, I checked it out and it seemed pretty cool. Going to go to a Wally World and check them all out there this weekend.

Yeah I could, but one is enough for me. Specially if they are talking about the same cars in the same issue.

Yeah not my cup of tea. Would like it if I had a v8. Looks focused towards the Mustangs and Camaros, but the crazy swaps in it I like.

Now the Grassroot Motorsports looks cool, is that focused on track/auto x?

Leaning towards Car and Driver or Road and Track.

Yeah, it's basically racing that the everyday person can afford. Check out amazon subscriptions, I got C&D and R&T for like $5 a yr.

I read the occasional Modified. Other than that the magazines I read are Mountain Bike Action and Guns and Ammo. :D
