My best advice. Did you pay him any money at all? If so I'm sure you could go after him for failure to provide services for money paid. Other than that, next time, pick a better lawyer

Did you/both miss your court date, or just him? It would be your responsibility to know when the date is, and show up, if you missed it, relying on your lawyer to tell you when it is. If you showed, and the lawyer was obligated, then the lawyer should be charged. You can also call the Bar...
