i don't balme you for going on. I was looking at getting a wrx for a while but decided against it. just be carefull with the tranny in it. I am putting a crane 14, long tube, 2.5" exhaust, and head work on my car before the spring and I bet only then I could give you a run. So good luck man, just don't forget us little guys with neons

And Ill be damned if this is the last neon Ill ever own... I will more then likly still get a first gen after while for a daily driver/beater...
And after my wife is out of school, I will own a stage 2/with toys Srt4...

Even if I have to show up to the first annual 2gn meet in a Subaru, You bet your ass Ill be there

Seems to own the WRX even in twisties! Slap on some prothane, STB's, and a hotchkis set on one of those and OUCH

.

Either way, WRX's are wicked in Auto-X! Hopefully my new suspension setup will give me at least a smidge of a chance. Course, i lack the power, but make up in gas milage!

(not that any Auto-Xer cares about gas milage. But my car is a daily driver too!)

Dude, a WRX will hold its value longer, is proven to be more reliable, and has a much wider range of aftermarket followers than the SRT4 (unfortunately). Personally, I would trade mine in in an instance if I could for one! But, to no avail. Personally, I will just wait like 2-3 more years and trade up for a STi Tuner Ready model
