I like this oneragek23 wrote: ... I think the Focus ST and soon to be Fiesta ST are the last of the neon like breed. somewhat light, nimble, FWD, a great DD, and really good gas mileage to boot. Its the last american car to hold this ideology right now. I mean yeah we have the Dart but lets be honest. Take the Dart to an autox track and it's like racing a Buick Lesabre compared to the Focus ST. If you want something new and "neon-like" save up for an ST.
convince me...

You know, I was driving down the road today thinking about this thread.
No joke, I was
ANYWAYS... I'm definitely on the "buy an SRT-4" camp now, because I realized that all you're trying to do in taking an interest in the Focus is recreate your interest in the SRT, when you should just buy an SRT and be done with it.

I'm definitely in agreement with you now. While I'm sure the ST is a nice car, the SRT-4 has been what I've wanted for a long time, and for what it is it is an incredibly capable car.Arro wrote:You know, I was driving down the road today thinking about this thread.

I do have to confess to one thing though. I drove a buddy's Trans AM today with an LS6 in it... definitely had me cheating on my future SRT in my head a little... Fastest car I've ever driven hands down.

I just no all the negatives of what a neon platform has and unfortanatly most of it cary over to the SRT. The biggest one being the rust issues. But, you are totally right. I do want an SRT at heart .
