I must admit, when I was in middle school, WHAM! was a popular band and everyone was in love with George Michael... I loved that group! I cringe now at soem of the bands I thought "rocked". 80's music scares me still - cause I know it all by heart! HELP!

I brought this up because I am listening to the radio and they played that song - (Jitterbug) Wake me up, before you go, go!

Now I bet it is stuck in your head!
How about you?

Insane Clown Posse, Everyone loved them when I was 13 and 14, They cussed and our parents hated them, I suppose that was the whole reason I listened to them, To be cool at the time.

I am not embarrassed at all by any of the bands I listen to. Some might feel embarrassed, but not me.

People look at me funny when I say I listen to Elton John.

Some people.

I was a big Rick Springfield and Huey Lewis and the News fan...when I was like 7 or 8. But, nowadays, I rock out to whatever I used to listen to. For awhile, I loved G N R, but then people used to hate on them, but I loved them reguardless. Now they are "cool" again because they realized that LA rocker sound is bad ass and I still like them.

Coolio was a dude I was into that people shit on alot. Same with Pauly Shore. One minute everyone was "What's up, Buuuudy! I'm the Weasel!" and then the next it was "FUCK PAULY SHORE! Fuck him is his stupid ass!"

What's worse is that you are repeating it.

BTW, a long time ago, back when our paper was partners with all the music venues in the area, we would get free tickets and parking to most all of the shows for clients and what not. Those who didn't want the tickets or didn't know the band, they would give them to us. I had 4 tickets to ICP and a parking pass with back stage passes. I could not GIVE them away. I went to the mall and asked damn near everyone I saw if they wanted them. I ended up tossing them on the ground near the front entrance where the young thugs in training and protitots hang out. Mall maintainence prolly swept them up for all I know.

I was a little skater scrub rocker/punker dirt head. Iron Maiden still friggin' rocks and so does Black Flag, just can't listen to it around my boy. He's little/impressionable.
Uh, General Public is kinda' embarassing. Depeche Mode. Oh, Duran Duran. Ugh.
The Cure is still badass if you wanna' get laid.

I was never embarassed about the music I listened to, despite what others thought. I really never changed my taste in music. I still listen to ALOT of Bowie, Pantera, Radiohead, Muse, and Modest Mouse just to name a few. The bands that kids around my age growing up liked a lot, I really didn't care for. This includes Korn, Limp Bizkit, Any Rap music, and the oh so dreadful ICP. Don't even let me get started with ICP... *shudders* Oh yeah, the kids that listen to emo music make me cry.

I guess I make you cry then  alot of those bands are actually quite good if you really listen to them

I liked, pop, I am not happy I did. In Junior High I like Britney Spears, Christian Aguilara, and Mandy Moore.

I like em all now, just....for.....other....reasons.

I hate their music.

Every now and then I'll put an older Korn cd in. When someone pisses me off and I can't run them off the road, I put in Korn, or Disturbed. It soothes me. I'm not really embarassed of that though. :?

I still remember the nights I use to listen to American Top Forty as I lied in bed waiting for my favorite songs to come on so I could tape them

Once the Seattle scene opened up, I was all about grunge - even changed my dress style! For like, 12 years (yes, I am 31, and it came out when I was 14-15). I STILL have some of my old clothes (camo pants, boots, flannels)!

I do love PJ, Soundgarden, Temple of the Dog, Nirvana, etc... ;)

One word: Poison.

Also Paula Abdul, though I only liked her because I thought she was hot (1990 or so).

I will thoroughly admit to still liking Depeche Mode and Duran Duran.

This pretty much discribes me in Jr. high... and to a point, it still does... including the old clothes. lol

But lately, Ive been listening to the new stuff on the radio (local rock station, usually in the mornings, cuz one of the morning show guys is a friend of mine.), and otherwise, its johnny cash. (and yes, Ive been listening to him since before the movie and before he died)

I was so happy when I was finally able to play the sick blast beats, and double bass that are on the AILD CD Frail Worlds Collapse.

Blast beats make me smile.

I still think KORN is cool, even though they are "Jerbang".

And I'm ashamed to say I liked hansen for 5 minutes.
