Thanks a lot... I was doing really well with that until you got me thinking about it again. :slap:

Work Subaru goes back to the shop again in the morning for yet another burnt-out bulb (this time the outboard driver's side tail light). Only bulbs I had to have replaced on the Jeep in 150K miles were the license plate ones- the Subie just has 34K on the clock and had already lost a headlight.

I've had to put headlights in all my cars this year. The new neon will need new housings for inspection.

I'm sure the Subie and the Jeep both had the same Made in China Sylvania bulbs from the factory.

Because they are so yellowed? If you don't have a spare set or one you can steal from another neon of yours, why not just hit them with some 600-1000 grit sandpaper and a buffer? I've done this numerous times with good results as long as you are expecting them to be like new for a long time... it'd get you through inspection though!

can't be worse than my gf's old grand am. It has 5-6 bulbs in each tail light and when one goes out they all blink fast. Very annoying to buy 12 bulbs.

IDK... I didn't check the bulbs used for the Jeep since it was a corp vehicle but when I've bought replacement bulbs for other Mopars, they have always been USA made. The Outback was assembled in Lafayette, IN but I'm not sure where Subaru sourced their bulbs.

Where do you find bulbs made in the US in a parts store?

But do they say "Made In the USA" on the bag/box?

I'm pretty sure since I always check labels to see where things are made. I still have the packaging for the SilverStar replacement headlight bulbs I bought at the dealership and they were made here.

EDITED to correct bad grammar.

try this stuff
Fort Amsterdam beard oil
http://beardgroomingoil.com/

Works great and is made in america, cool story behind the name too. I use the unscented oil and wax combo. I really like it but the wax doesn't control my beard they way i want.
the oil will help with the itching and split ends

Fort Amsterdam as opposed to the Amish you previously mentioned? I'm confused.

yes, the Fort Amsterdam stuff I have now, it works great just the wax is not strong enough for my curly beard at its current length, when it was shorter it worked great. I ordered the Honest Amish stuff because it offers more control for thicker/curlier beards. For a beard of your length and thickness id go with the Ft Amsterdam stuff.
