Time flies! This December I'll hit my 10 year membership!

Post by BlackRoseRacing » Sat Jul 05, 2014 10:00 pm

Wow has the time flew by!
I missed the 1st annual 2GN meet as I joined in Dec of 2004, but I've been to every meet since then bringing my 2002 R/T known as Christine. She did not make it last year due to work scheduling and picking up a new fresh shell for her last year in Pittsburg on the way to the show.
This year is going to be another exception due to work scheduling and other issues.
It's been great to grow up with you guys over the years through thick and thin!
So how many other members are actually on there 10th year membership now?

I've been here for eight years- has it been that long? I have to check in here at least twice a day since I have no life outside of 2GN.

I've only been here 6 years this September, doesn't feel that long. I can't believe you been on the forum 10 years. So u been hhere since it started and when Jason took it down since it wasn't getting much activity then brought it back up. Or was that before you.

Just hit 9 years not too long ago.

Site has really died down as 2gn Neons get older. People move on to newer cars. I remember when the site was bumpin back when I first joined. Lots of activity.

Well if you go to the Member List, the first 4 pages qualify so far by date. Around 160 members. About 11ish are still signing in, and only a few out of those might actually post, and not really too actively...

Time to find a new neon!

Some of us have been long term members. Others have moved on to other vehicles and projects. Actually some have also moved on to family related situations that have required to move on from 2GN. There are still veterans that still post on here in 2GN and most of them have contributed there time in Facebook.
Those who do not have Facebook, no worries, as the veterans still post in 2GN when they can. I myself can speak that I do mostly post in FaceBook as it is easier for me one handed to post there Vs 2GN.
Personally my project log has died down due to work related injuries, but once I am in acceptable clearance I'm going to continue my Hemi swap and have the first daily driven hemi Neon. Just like I was the first to have a SC daily driven Neon :)
This past summer has been horrible as I have not been physically able to work on the project car due to restrictions, and at the end of this month I will be even more restricted as my disability will go from 75% to 100%.
This is the first summer off since I was in school and it blew by so quick because of life changes and limitabilites.
Hopefully after recovery in the next 6 months I will be able to bring back Christine as a V8 RWD Neon using the chassis I picked up and all the parts required to do the conversion.
K, time to hit the sack....
Catch ya all later

After reading all the posts in this thread, I really am a "newbie" and the oldest guy on this forum.

I always went to neons.org until I bought the NSRT-4, and quickly
got sick of the people on SRTForums
