My best friend of ~7 years is being forced to move away, far. I'm trying not to be a pussy fuck and let this get to me, but its not easy.

my best friend of.... shit... too many years to count, something like 10 or so now... left for the army pretty much right out of high school. i hardly see him, or get to hang out with him because of this. he reinlisted after his first four years was up, and that was a year and a half ago. when he does come home though, we go out and have fun, and it's as if he never left. still best buds to this day. trust me, friends come and go, but BEST friends are there to stay.

He's basically my left nut so this might be hard for the first month or two. Thanks though Phil.

i have moved quite often, so i know what its like... have you thought about following him? if he is trully your left nut, why not?

Long answer cut short, I'm still in school so I can't leave. We have even thought of the idea of him staying in my house till he can find a cheaper place. He moved from England about 8 years ago and I've been the only friend of his who has been friends with him through middle school, high school, and college. I'm his right nut, hes my left nut.

That sucks man. My best bud moved to Boston right after my wedding. He was my wing-man for almost 12 years. Haven't seen hiim but once sinice then. Growing up sucks sometimes.........
