As always, I'm late to the party...But a belated HAPPY BIRTHDAY to you!
But just WHAT is "this old"? My birthday is tomorrow the 19th and I'll be turning 60 and doing the work that 30 year olds should be doing!....LOL

Thanks again. Yes, I got to drive the SRT to Carlisle and back plus all of the drama with power steering while we were there.

Well.... Are you feeling "this old" yet? And if so, would be your own fault have such a "pocket rocket" on hand to enjoy!

I was glad that the Carlisle Events staff had changed the ballots since my last time there to narrow voting down to classes within walking distance of our club tent. THIS should answer your question about feeling my age.

And, yes, I did enjoy having the SRT out for its first long journey in years. I'm sure that the car wasn't happy with the torrential rain Thursday during the drive there, especially after driving all day to get to PA. Probably the reason for the power steering failure issue.

LOL, I forget which time it was, probably 2011, it rained buckets before we got to the hotel, and the road had a foot or more of water in it in rush hour traffic. By the time I pulled into HW, the muffler wasn't muffling because it was full of water. I was worried it got caught on some unseen object in the water. But after it drained and dried out, it was back to it's normal sound.

I'm glad the water didn't get any higher, or I would have been bailing water out of the floor boards. I'm sure those 2gn door seals were getting a decent work out though. It was about 6 or 7 blocks of flash flooded streets. There was no avoiding it, as you were already there. I don't think I ever took that route to the hotel again. The last few times, I stopped at the fairgrounds first.

Be glad it was RAIN and not SNOW! Been from the Buffalo, NY area all my life and swear that it feels like we could get that "white stuff" at ANY time of year! :P

LOL, in July, Carlisle PA is usually pretty warm. You usually have sweat running down your legs out of your shorts. Some slightly cooler weather would be welcome at times.

There is a bikini contest after all.

When I lived in Odessa, we had several days when the temperature was 107 degrees … Pennsylvania doesn't know the meaning of hot weather

Texas does have cold weather in the winter … 20's to 40's, but we don't have cars rusting away from salt om the roads :sign5:
