Clutch woes...(Im obviously not the only one...)

Post by CrashTeam » Mon Feb 27, 2006 2:25 pm

Sat Afternoon- Spend time installing the 3in Downpipe to go with the 3 in catback...Everything went smooth, no problems at all...
Sat night- the car feels odd, like somthing is holding it back
Sunday morning- The clutch pedal feels strange and between gears the rpms are doing odd things, only once or twice though, nothing constant.
Sunday afternoon- While driving home from Fort Madison I pull out to pass in 5th gear... The Engine just starts reving while in gear
Sunday Night- 2nd 3rd and 4th gear beging reving at different places through the powerband when at half throttle
Monday moring- Above probelm at 1/4 throttle
Monday afternoon- Clutch officially fried, still drives but slips so bad that it seems to be a hazard
Estimated cost to repair- $600-$700

Havnt even gotten to enjoy my stage2 ecu reflash :(

In short, Dont burn out a awd clutch, it sucks ass

Blew out my clutch and master cylinder last year in my mitsu.. 850 dollars down the drain. I think I still have the repair bill in my file cabnet. I'll have to frame it sometime.

Im so doing my own repair work for now on.
