injured list *update

well i'm back on the injured list for bmx.....was riding a small contest/jam at a skatepark in gettysburg....was highest air contest out of a 1/4 pipe....was about 7 feet out clipped the coping with the front tire coming back in a little bit and it kicked my ass off the bike straight to the ground on my chest/stomache....wasn't to bad....was in a lot of pain...didn't think it was necassary to go to the hospital but until i went home and pissed blood a couple times....so yea i went to the hospital and i have a small tear in my kidney and bruised it real bad....so i'm off the bike and off work for a little bit....sucks...

should be interesting getting this bill in the mail since id on't have health insurance

sry for rambling on i'm bored already spent like 5+ hours at the hospital tonight

Damn... sorry to hear dude! Sucks not having insurance and something like that happens to you. I guess you had to go in for some surgery for them to repair your kidney? Long hospital visits are the worst but if you're in ER there are usually some interesting people there to listen to as they tell the doctor all their problems and make you wonder how they're still alive

anyway... sorry to hear about the ingury and hope you recover fast!

they said the tear is small enough it should heal on it's own...oh yea i just went and took a piss no blood...woo hooo i'm feeling pretty good from the pills they gave me

SHiT Son! That souns painful. I really take this public health insurance for granted sometimes. I hope you heal fast and get back on that bike!

I havent had much time to get on here during the week the past couple of weeks...sorry to hear that you got hurt, think of it this way, unexpected little vacation!

I got hurt plenty of times skateboarding, and getting injured is the worst part. Just keep on truckin' Glad you are feeling better!

Glad to hear your feeling better! That's terrible about your injury and it really sucks that you don't have insurance and had to go to the hospital. Hope you have some money saved up, and I hope it's not too bad of a bill. But I remember seeing hospital bills for people without insurance and....YIKES.

my last hospital bill was over 30k and my insurance at the time turned it down....flown helicopter to the trauma center a week in the hospital all kinds of cat scans x rays and shit i don't even remember.....yea that time wasn't fun haha...this time isn't to bad...just sucks....my kidney freaking hurts bad today...

well i was still feeling like shit sunday and monday and had lots of blood in my urine still and when my family doctor saw me on tuesday and saw my urine he immediately sent me back to the hospital.....turns out i had a blood clot in my kidney and i had to stay there two nights while they flushed my system out and gave me antibotics that actually cleared the clot out....so needless to say i'm still in a lot of pain and out of work for 2 weeks....

i talked to financial aid and seeing what all i can qualify for help on my bill.....hopefully they will cover some and hopefully my dad will help me out some....

so far the bills are up to 5k so far....hopefully financial aid doesn't turn me down or i'm gonna have to pay for it in full

Phack i need health insurance....are any of you guys self employeed on here if so where do you guys get your insurance and what does it cost for like when your own and what not...like not gettin it through a company?
