Bought a Kirby...
The wife and I bought a Kirby today...
We got a good deal, though... Only $1100 instead of $1800 w/ Lifetime Warranty, free servicing every 6 months. It's a neat little machine and I'd recommend it to anyone with a little extra money... I opted for the financing, so it's like $44 a month for the rest of my life.
Actually, it's only like 2.5 years or something.

For those of you that don't know what a Kirby is... Google it.
It's a wicked expensive vacuum cleaner that kicks all competition's ass. You simply can't get a better vacuum/carpet shampooer... Yeah, $1000 is insane for a vacuum cleaner, but like ifixyawata said, it'll last damn near forever. We vacuumed our carpet with our 1 year old vacuum cleaner that cost us $199 and the Kirby was still picking up cat hair and gross hair crap after 5 or 6 trips over the same area. It's super clean, super light and like the other dude said, it's self propelled. Overall, it's kickass... Worth the grand? What vacuum is?
If it lasts me 5 years and keeps me from replacing carpet because of stains, etc., it'll pay itself off.
Oh, marthby... It gives great 'oral' sex.

I would.03sxt wrote:I'm actually thinking about taking advantage of the 30 day money-back guarantee... I don't think I want monthly payments on a vacuum cleaner and I really need to get more saved up so I can move south before snow flies...
[edit]
But before you do, clean the absolute SHIT out of your house.
