Did you buy a part and think it was awesome, or did you think it was a piece of crap? Let everyone know here so we know not to buy the same product.

spark plug anti fouler (for running no cat or longtubes)

Post by tanetal » Tue Feb 12, 2008 3:08 pm

found a seller on ebay that sells the best spark anti fouler modd

jphuang

longer than your average antifouler so it being further away makes sure both 02's read different

was about 20 bucks to Canada, and instantly solved my code.

Just thought id put it out there.

if you have a cat, why would you get the anti-fouler? just use an o2 sensor.

my stock o2 sensor worked just fine in my high-flow cat before stage 1 and the catless downpipe.

plus i'm still running my non fouler (HELP!!! section) and have not had a code in I don't know how long. It cost a whole 3 dollars if I remember correctly

edit---I have a cat but its junk right now, I am running the non fouler until I buy a new cat.

I don't quite follow...I have an o2 sensor but it's not plugged into anything.

How do I get it to stop throwing the cat code?

Would have probably been cheaper to go to your local autoparts store and buy the fowler and make your own instead of buying one already pre-made :-?

anti fouler

Post by tanetal » Tue Feb 12, 2008 7:02 pm

Yes i still have a cat

However if you have longtube the sensor doesnt go into the cat, it goes into the collector.

Therefore both 02's read from the same exhaust before the cat and since the 02 level isnt different enough it throws a code thinking the cat is failing.

If your having this code it solves it by placing the 2nd 02 further out of the stream folling it to thinking the cat is still there o that its still plugged into the cat.

you place it between your 2nd 02 and youre bung on either the cat or the headers. The guy shows a picture on his add.

and yes I prolly could have done it cheaper myself. But Ill give this guy the extra $5 dollars for doing it for me and use the spare time to watch tv ;) his is a little longer than you typical anti fouler so it insures your 2nd 02 is deffinitely far enough from the stream to get a different reading

Just thought id put it out there for those that arnt mechanically inclined or live in apts etc and dont have the means to do it themselves or just want the convenience of being able to simply purchase one.

I've never tried putting my 2nd o2 sensor into the collector. I will try that and see it if does anything in my situation. Though i'm probably not going to get anywhere.
