motor oil (royal purple)

Did you buy a part and think it was awesome, or did you think it was a piece of crap? Let everyone know here so we know not to buy the same product.

my shop stopped carrying amzoil they never liked it since we got royal purple and the Greedy stuff nice stuff but pricey but like i say only the best for my baby lol i love the royal purple yes first 3-4 it was acting wierd burning it quick but now it doesnt and it runs real nice

Just an FYI from experience guys (and gals), I caution you not to use Royal Purple in your motors if you live in a state where winter gets below freezing regularly, and/or you do short-distance driving. I found that the RP just doesn't have the hydraulic consistencies to handle winter driving very well... the oil will start to fail very quickly on you (viscosity breakdown, detergent breakdown) ... I found Redline, Pennzoil Platinum and Molbil1 to be better choices.

I use Castrol. Ive always used Castrol in my cars. I wanted to try the Royal Purple. I might since I do need a oil change.

Just switched from Quaker state to Castrol GTX, along with the Pureone filter; started the car and heard NO ticks at all :shock: . I'll follow up here after 2 or 3K miles.
