Maddog 52% shifter

Did you buy a part and think it was awesome, or did you think it was a piece of crap? Let everyone know here so we know not to buy the same product.

Maddog 52% shifter

Post by D-Railed_Neon » Tue Jun 19, 2012 9:51 pm

bought a maddog 52% redux with stock height and a modern polished and weighted ball knob. LOVE IT!! go maddog for an awesome product! The throws are so tight together and so linear it's amazing. I used Boogers and Johnny mopar cradle bushings and this thing is more of a solid Lever than a cable system in the way it feels. The hursts shifters are shiny and what I was originally planning on but, I have a buddy here in town who has the hurst and his has the "squishy feeling" even with boogers that a lot of owners have complained about. We all love the hurst name but imho the maddog is a better product. As always shipping through modern was nice and quick and the parts arrived safe and sound in good shape. If anyone is planning on a short throw shifter this is the one for you.

I pulled your review out of LSP's because you are reviewing a completely different product and it should be in it's own topic.
If I could just figure out how to meld the Outback and the Neon into one car...

Hence why I currently don't have a mini me running around gentlemen

Dante-They were comparing the hurst to the maddog in the meat (lol) of that thread so I thought it seemed appropriate but, no harm, no foul. If it helps somewhere over here then so be it

My Hurst STS is the old one (2006 time frame), not to be confused with the one that is currently offered by Modern

My Maddog 72 redux i've had for 5 years is still strong. I changed the bushings to stiffer ones just to help even more. Nothing but good things to say. He's top notch.
