I only recommend Silverstars for people who want aftermarket headlight bulbs.

None of those wanna be HID, replaced after 2 months, hyper duper blue bulbs.

I have the silverstars right now. i used sylvania's "cool blue" bulbs in other cars. They lasted just fine. Not quite as bright as the silverstars, but they did work.

I have Silverstars as well. They are far better than the stock bulbs, much whiter and brighter.

And I only paid $9 for them at Autozone because the guy at the counter rang up the wrong part number and I didn't say anything. :)

Silverstars are very bright, but... don't expect long life. Make sure the bulbs are clean, fingerprints will cause hot spots and shortened life.

If you get the oil from your finger prints on the bulb the oil will burn and cuase the glass to bubble or become pregnant. Then the bulb will explode.

I used them for over a year  but grew out of them and wanted something better. Comparing the eBay HID LOOK lights to stock I guess you could say they're kinda better but don't go to high on the color temp rating or they'll look really stupid and actually hurt light output. Comparing them to REAL HIDs there is no comparrison, by that I mean HIDs are 100x brighter than the eBay bulbs.

I guess.
Well I got the Silverstar turnsignal lights. I guess if you want them to make your car still leagal, get them. If not they are a huge waste of money cuase my car is still crosseyed and you can still see the orange during the day. I paid a shit load for them at Pep-Boys, I was so happy to finally find a pair I just went and bought them without looking at the price really.

These bulbs suck. I went from silverstars to regular bulbs and was MUCH happier since I could actually see in the rain. The bluish tint makes for a whiter look, but NOT a brighter light.

Ive been using Nokya Arctic White bulbs for a while now, the light blue tint matches the light blue tint that the white LED's in my turn signals (superbrightleds.com) give off. it looks really cool with white turn signals.(illegal, yes, but so are the bright red LEDs in my clear side markers.) if the white leds were truly white, i might go with something more like the silverstars.

Well to get more light out of stock bulbs you have to modify the wiring with 2 relays 12gauge wires and fuses with direct connections to the battery and the shorter the wires the better.

You get a lot of voltage drop and that is why your headlights run on 80% efficiency. If you upgrade the wiring you should be at 100% or 55W of power. Now what I am doing in a few days is 100W light bulbs with 10G wiring, relays, fuses and lots of light wiht a clear bulb filled with Xenon gas. One of the gases inside emits a nice rainbow colors purplish, light neon blue color that realy makes them unique. When i am coming down the road you can see them change colors from bright i mean bright white to hue of blue/purple to purple and so on. Real cool. Sad story is i melted some wiring due to low gauge size that is why i am going heavey.

I will submit some pictures.

This is the light bulb that went in the car and melted the connector. THis is also the light bulb that is going in the car when the wiring is all upgraded to handle the 200W of light.

NAPA also sells a version of the SILVERSTAR call the TRUEVIEW. They were cheaper in price and comparing them one on one in my EX-SXT they were both as bright and gave off the same color.

Did a short study this past weekend. I went to the WalMart and got 4 different kinds of light bulbs.

I have no pictures but all of the light bulbs were compared to the cool blues.

SYLVANIA XtraVision
SYLVANIA Cool Blue
GE NightHawk
CYBER WHITE (98% Xenon Gas)

I currently have the Cool Blues in the car.

All light bulbs were installed in the right headlight and the car was parked 20feet from the garage door.

All Xtravision and Night hawks were exactly the same with slight diference in the shape of the light. Much brighter than stock but no where near the cool blues.
The slightly blue tinted Cyber White gave much less blue light and compared to stock they suck.

The Cool Blue was the whitest and brightest of all light bulbs compared. Everhything else looked yellowish in front of it with the exception of the CW which were by the way the cheapest of all.

Next up are the silverstars. They will be compared to all of the above and we will see who is the best.
Finaly I plan to use some clear glass 100/80W bulbs to see if there is any improvement of lumens.
