Creaking from suspension

Post by gninja21 » Fri Mar 30, 2007 11:07 am

Sometimes when I turn I hear a creaking sound. It happens rarely and only when I'm turning. What do you think it could be???

I had that same noise, turned out it was the bearing in the upper mount plate to the strut, but I had an aftermarket setup...

Possibly your bearings going out, could be a bushing or two, could also be control arms... lotsa things... lift the car up and with the wheel on and steering wheel locked, wiggle the wheel back and forth, if there is play in it, you have problems.

I had that noise w/ stock struts and dropzone springs. Turns out it was my bearings in the strut mounts. You cant buy just the bearings if thats it, you have to get all new mounts.
