I was wondering if anyone out there is running sportlines on the hp's. I currently have the sporlines on my srt struts right now, but my hp's are getting delivered today. Also, I still have my eibach prokit sitting in the basement.

Which struts should I use? Do the prokit have a higher spring rate than the sportlines? Are the sportlines really made for handling or just for lowering?

Opinions, romours, facts? Thanks in advance! Paul.

I went with Pro-kit because I put a lot of miles on my car and went for equal amounts of looks, performance, and comfort. I now have a bodykit that's really low so I'm glad I sit a little higher than lower!

I forgot the rates on the sportlines, I was thinkin about upgrading to them as well.

Thanks for the replies and the link, it was helpful. Is anyone running sportlines on tokicos? I interested in how harsh the ride will be.

grambo said that the sportline's ride is very harsh, and that they will pretty much blow any strut on the market. not to mention that the car will be very difficult to align and will wear thru tires very quickly.

^^^ that, I think, is an isolated experience, and his opinion. My opinion differs...

I've had several people in my car that think, though the ride is stiffer, it is not uncomfortable. At freeway speeds, the ride is solid but smooth. On back roads if they are bumpy, you will feel it more. I've been running the sportlines for over a year and have put 15k on the struts (new KYBs that i got for the sportlines) and they are still holding up. As for alignment... I had my tires aligned at Les Schwab @ -.05 deg with out any problems (did have to get a camber kit)... and I'm getting the car realigned (due to new spindles for brake swap) @ -1.0 deg. The only part of my tires that were wearing on my last SXT was the outside cause I just can't help myself from diggin into those corners.

Now, just to clear things up with this, I'm not just using the Sportlines w/ KYBs, but I also have the suspension technique front and rear sway bars and well as vibrant tower strut bars (these do add to the performance which I can't isolate from my review).

There are a couple of draw backs but I think this would relate to any lowered car and that is that I avoid pot holes as much as possible (that is never nice) and I have trouble with high aprons into parking lots or driveways...yada yada yada.

Glad to hear other peoples experiences. Ive been thinking of upgrading until I can afford coilovers, but I talked with Grambo and he strongly suggested that I stuck with my current setup and saved up, and since I respect his opinion and judgement, I plan to do just that. Really would like to get some stiffer and lower springs, but I dont think its worth the risk.
