strut removal

Have some questions about how to achive better handling and stopping power using different springs, upgrading to coilovers, questions on swaybars, bushings, different rotors, pads, ect... Having any steering problems or questions about steering racks, tie rods, tie rod ends, ect... ask these questions here.

ok i found a set of rear struts on an 04 neon at a junkyard, the car is setting of the ground like 3 feet do i need a spring compressor or not ? and how do i remove them?
2005 neon sxt 2.0L 16v
custom cai,unorthadox udp,magnacore 8.5mmrace wires,ngk pllugs,R/T HEADER and ACTIVE R/T MANIFOLD,srt cat back,ps2 mopar lip kit and unforunately atx

there are 3 nuts inside the trunk that you need to take out and 2 bolts that attach the bottom of the strut to the suspension. then just remove the brake line and it will be ready to come out. however, you need to get it up off the ground for you to be able to pull it out. take a jack to the yard or see if they have one you can use. you won't need spring clamps until you get it off the car and are ready to remove the spring itself.
