Front Strut Bar Installation ?

I've heard that the car should be jacked up when installing the strut bar. Is this true or not?

If so should the car be jacked up before taking off the bolts?
Or should the car just be jacked up once the strut bar is on and the bolts are being tightened?

Sorry about all the threads :banghead: Computer is being extremely slow today and I might have clicked it one two many times :tardbang:

Read this thread... Vibrant Strut Braces Please help!

And I raised my car before I installed the front and rear strut bars... It preloads the bar..

You can put it on with no problems but when the car is in the air and the bar is put on and lowered back to the ground the bar is put under a little more stress since the weight is back on the strut towers. It's not a lot and yes you can put the bar on being on the ground but if you want just a little more preload on the bar it's best to jack it up and then put it on.
