Forgive me if this info is posted elsewhere, but as you all know im both lazy and terrible at searching, so here's my question:
What are the lock to lock ratios of the standard rack, rt/acr rack, and srt rack? Are there differences year to year in any of them? I know that the rt/acr rack has a closer ratio than the standard rack, but I forgot the spec. Thanks in advance guys.

All 2gn steering racks should be 18:1 turning ratios. ACR/RT/SRT had a 'firm" feel rack. Only 1st gens had different ratios.

I read somewhere that the 2gn rt/acr had a quicker ratio, are you positive? thanks

Positive. Only 1st gens had different ratios. The rt/acr/srt rack may FEEL quicker, but that is because it is a lower power assist (hence the "firm" feel title it is given).
1st gens had 22:1 (manual) 18:1 (power assist) and 16:1 (quick ratio power assist)
I think there is a 14:1 power assist from Shadow or something like that which can be used, with modifications of course.

Ah I see, so the rt/acr used a slightly lower boost assist to get the 'firm feel'? That makes sense. Now I wanna know where I read that!

I have another question regarding steering gears. Ive heard numerous times that the SRT rack is known for having a horribly short turning radius, which is considered its main downfall as far as cornering potential goes. In another discussion, we basically decided that the reason for this was to allow clearance for the larger wheel/tire combo, which is much bigger than a regular neons. This is why, theoretically, a standard neon should out handle an SRT on a tight track. What ratio does the SRT rack run?

I was asking about a rack at the wreckers a week back or so, they asked what size wheels I had. I would gather there's a difference between the racks if you have 14 or 15 wheels seeing as how they were asking. Just checked car-part.com and they ask the same thing.
