Rear alignment?

Post by Arro » Sat Aug 04, 2007 1:28 am

My rear suspension has LOTS of negative camber on both sides. How is this fixed? Please don't tell me to take it to an alignment shop, I want to know WHAT is done to it, not who can fix it.
Drive it like you stole it, and work on it like you married it.

take it to an alignment shop....

:D

Actually, there are 2 bolts on the struts that attaches to the knuckles, the top one is used to adjust the camber I believe... if you have uncorrectable camber (to negative, etc) you need to buy camber correction bolts.

You can have a clevis bolt replaced with a Camber Adjusting bolt or get adjustable control arms (lateral arms) depending on what your preference is. To do camber you would really need all 4 lateral arms if you just go adjustable arms. Up to 1.5 degrees you should be alright for wear as long as they are even.
