bouncy and wandering

Post by bigbird » Sun Sep 30, 2007 5:58 pm

well, I finally lowered my car on 1st gen r/t springs & stock struts. I have yet to get an alignment. My car now seems to really be affected by irregularities in the road, such as cracks and grooves. This seems to cause the car to wander and dart. Would the alignment fix this issue or is it just due to differences in the suspension now that it is lowered? Seems as if the steering is affected as much as ride. Also the ride sucks now, seems like all bumps are jarring and the car bounces a lot more, normal for this setup? I have srt struts coming and will wait until i have those installed to align it.

yeah, get it aligned right away, you will be wandering everywhere and making your tires wear unevenly. And yeah, the ride sucks because you have very little suspension travel before you hit the stops on it.

yeah probably need camber bolts for the rear. I've heard that there are a few brands out there, including mopar. Are the mopar ones sold through the dealership?
