How in the world did you break a caliper bolt?

Do not drive that car until this is fixed. You can endanger yourself and more importantly you can endanger innocent bystanders.

If there is anyway to get a pair of visegrips on it, that may help. Clamp down on it really really hard.

Might also be able to pull the caliper sleeves out that the bolt fits into. The sleeves are what gives the caliper the ability to slide as the break is applied. The sleeves are under the rubber boot and can usually be pulled out fairly easily but requires the removal of the bolt and instead the head is now gone you may be able to remove the sleeve. If that is the case then it might give you more room to latch on a vice grip or if there's room, maybe even a small hacksaw blade in to cut the bolt at the knuckle so you can at least remove the caliper then drill out the bolt :-? Hopefully what I said makes sense :-?

What about one of those "Bolt out" Things? Or worst case, find a drill bit smaller than the bolt and drill it straight through.

Then you'll definitely be able to get the sleeve out.
