Ok guys I no longer have my 1st gen neon, I have a 2004 PT cruiser. I know the chasey is the same as the 2nd gen neon and that the 1g lowering springs will fit on the 2g neon. My question is will they fit on the 2004 pt cruiser as I have a set of skunk 2 springs that i was going to put on my 1g neon. any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you

Peace

Shane

ok, I know this much:

1gn springs on 2gn struts, LOW!!!

1gn rt/acr springs on 2gn struts, low!

1gn lowering springs on 2gn struts - nope, not gonna happen

So my guess is this, if you have a PT cruiser and want to put 1gn lowering springs on it, probably not going to work. 1gn springs are super low on 2gns because of the different rates, too muchy and blow struts quick, 1gn rt/acr springs work better because they are stiffer, and do not bottom out as bad... but with a super low spring for a 1gn it will bottom the strut out completely. Say bye bye!

Plus I would find it hard to believe that a PT weighs the same. while they are similiar I think the PT's are based on the neon chassis. There are diferences in suspension for a start I know the exhaust is totally different. You are totally welcome here, but I think there is a PT forum that you may get better answers from, although I'm sure there are more knowlegable ppl on here than me. But 2gn can't be hording all the brains.....
