Need Brake Help?
Need Brake Help?
Hey ? I'm running a 03' R/T ABS and while I was doing my igition coil pack with my gf's dad he noticed that my left front brake pad wear was not even with the rest of the car brakes. He said something like seems like the caliper is stuck or something I can't remember anyway I wanted to replace the brake pads and rotors of both front and back and was wondering if its worth getting rotors slotted or dimpled you know pros or cons about it and where to get some good ceramic brake pads plus I heard those leave a lot of brake dust. Thanks.
Heh.

Not to sound repetitive, but run a search....
I personally have been running power slots on the front and NAPA drilled and slotted on the rear. NAPA ceramic pads at all 4 corners....
I will NEVER purchase a power slot rotor again since they rusted and deteriorated faster than the NAPA performance rotors. I actually had the Power slots turned on a brake lathe a few weeks back because they were so bad.
Numerous people will recommend numerous different brands,blends,etc...
The #1 name for pads that come to mind is a brand named "HAWK Performance". Several people use them and swear by them. As for rotors, thats where things get tricky. Do you want stopping performance? is it Daily driven? do you race? those all come into play with selecting the proper brake setup...

if the caliper is stuck, you want to get that squared away first. because all you are going to do is have the same problem until its fixed.
