Ok, so my SXT only has a front anit-sawy bar, I'd LOVE an aftermarket set but for now the price of em' keeps them out of my reach. Still, I'd like to at least add a rear anti-sway bar to help with the body roll. What size would be good to pair up with the stock front SXT anti-sway bar and where do ya'll think I could find one? Would any of ya'll have a complete rear anti-sway bar set-up that you'd part with for a reasonable price? Is this something I could get pretty cheap from the dealer? Thanks.

You've got a PM coming. I just had a set of Hotchkis sways installed, my stockers are taking up precious garage space.

Try to pickup an R/T bar, it's a 19mm and typically fairly cheap last time I looked. It's also whats used on the SRT ACR.

I checked my struts and I don't have the mounting points so I'll need to get struts first. Anything, even the 17mm rear would be better then nothing I guess and if the price is right then that's all the better.

I just added a 22 out back and while it might be a bit much for most is not bad. It was like 135ish.

Remember to get bushing brackets and 3 new bolts (you have one holding up the evap canister already). Also get appropriate sway bar end links. If you get an after-market bar should come with a set for stock height cars. If you're lowered check the sticky.

You don't absolutely need to buy new rear struts, if your are still good .....

I helped a friend install these same brackets onto his 2005 SXT last fall.
Now he's running the factory rear bar.

The only other thing you'll need is the factory bar that Jason mentioned and the brackets that bolt up / hold the bar up against the frame.
A lot of 'older' 2nd gen Neons (2000-2002) came with the rear bars from the factory; you can find one in the junkyard and pull the rear brackets, endlinks, and the frame brackets.
Then order a set of these Daaboot's brackets, and you'll be set.

You can pick up an SRT sway (in most cases) for about $10 if the SRT owner doesn't think he's holding gold.

I like the way those adapters and end links hook up better then the others that I've seen.
What is the stock size on the SXT front bar, isn't it 19mm? I'd like at least that size on the rear as well. I think a set of adapters, the modded strut links and a 19mm rear bar would be about as good as I personally would need since I don't plan on doing any Autox or anything, just want less body roll thru the cornors.

IIRC,

Stock standard front bar is 20mm. RT/ACR is 22mm. SRT is 24mm. PT Cruiser is 26mm.

Stock rear bars are 15mm in 2000, 17mm for SRT's and 19mm for RT/ACR's

Be careful..... You probably DON'T want a rear bar that is TOO big.

Putting in a Rear bar on a Neon that is TOO big and Too stiff will help the car lean / roll less, of course, but may make your car prone to oversteer !!

Some Auto-X guys will deliberately "tune" the rear suspension to make the car more tail-happy, but that is the exception.

From experience, it is best to go with a better 'balance' in handling.... with no excessive understeer or oversteer, but to get the car as 'neutral' as possible.
Then, you can really fly around corners.

Just go with the factory rear bar, (either 15mm or 17mm) upgrade to Polyurethane bushings, and you should be fine.
If the car is still prone to understeer, you can always upgrade to the 19mm bar later.

Ok, so I should have a 20mm stock front bar on my SXT, I think I'd like a 17mm rear bar then, that should be decent. Where can I get the Heim Joint sway bar endlinks and strut adapters? Does anyone sell this as a kit or is it something I'll have to make up myself?

Get the endlink stuff, make them, get the 1st gen brackets and a cheap set of SRT-4 bars. 17mm in back and a 24mm bar up front is pretty decent on a stock car. You can get a larger front bar and really feel the difference and use the stock endlinks (or order new Energy Suspension ones for about $20 through Advanced Auto or Auto Zone).

And for the record, a GT Cruiser Convertible front sway bar is like 28mm and runs about $75 or so.
