Coilovers in the winter?
Coilovers in the winter?
Do you guys keep your coilovers on in the winter and do you just raise the car back up?
I have the BC coilovers and I am just wondering if I should go ahead and raise it up when winter gets here or put back on the stock stuff? Will the coilovers last over the winters?

Will it snows pretty good here in michigan and I only stress this issue because we have salted roads here and didnt no how the CO's would hold up. I also have a Mopar Lip Kit on so it would def have to be raise back up a little because the front is so low It just scrapes slighty even when I angle out of my driveway.

Dang lake effect snow! When I get my BCs on with my new wheels this summer, I'll be rasing them back up realigning and throwing on the steelies for the winter. I've had issues going through snow with my 4x4 stance as it is.kevin25 wrote:Will it snows pretty good here in michigan and I only stress this issue because we have salted roads here and didnt no how the CO's would hold up. coilovers should be fine, even with our lovely winters. Just come sumer-time, take the wheels off and power wash the coilover to get any crap off that may still be on there, hell it wouldn't hurt to do it throughout winter time as well. But, it wont eat them or anything
and definitely raise the car back up.

i got the Megan Racing/BC's. i run them the same hight all winter too. the only problem that i had was the pillow ball mount drying up. i just put a drop of 80/90 in there every oil change and it's all dandy. but like josh said. keep them clean. even the stainless steel can corrode. not rust, but corrode
