Air springs are too progressive and delicate for real track work but they should be okay for a street car

I think on the neons, the aesthetic properties they provide are great. But as for driveability I've read way too many times on this forum that people would never go back because the ride just sucks.

I was actually thinking about this earlier today....
...not doing it of course! but how the car would handle on the street if I needed to make a few evasive maneuvers...
there's a thread here about if you're thinking of doing it and it tells you all the parts you'll need, and how much it will cost, etc.

yeah i have read the thread and one of my buddies has air on his 69 C10.so i have a pretty good idea of what i would need,at least the basics anyways.so i dont think it would be too hard for me to figure out the set up.(i hope) its just i have never been in a neon with air ride so i am wondering how bad the ride is.i have sportlines on my car now so the ride is pretty rough as is and i dont mind it at all.and i dont race at all, street, track or otherwise so thats not important to me.i just want a killer stance and decent handeling in normal everyday driving conditions.my other question is cold weather reliability.where i live it gets down to around -10 and stays under freezing for about three months a year.i dont drive the car more than once or twice a week and that is only short distances around town but it needs to be able to do it reliably.at least until i get another car.so with that in mind do ya think its worth it??

when you put it that way... nah, it's not worth it. If you have sportlines now, then you have an agressive stance already.
