srt springs

Post by Skinny_tires » Sun Aug 24, 2008 12:46 am

i was thinkin i might try the megan springs, but im not sure i want to lower it that much....ive been reading up on posts on the srt springs and people are shying away from them..is it mainly because they dont lower that much?

im looking for better handling out of my car, but i dont necessarily want to lower it 2 inches....i can run the car pretty good with what it has..so i wouldnt mind some improvement, even if its just makes it a little stiffer....just curious guys..thanks..

my setup is srt struts w/ hotchkis lowering springs and hotchkis sway bars......the only thing that would make me happier is full on BC coilovers...otherwise, i couldn't be happier.

i know i could get some better struts and some good springs, but i think i want to just upgrade a little bit.. I like the idea of having a basically stock car and keeping up with the true sports car (even if they cant drive their car all that well)

for instance...ive kept up with a lowered gsr and actually pulled on a tsi talon on an uphill...(i know, throw in driver experience, different tires and yada yada...but still those cars are more advanced i would think than the neon).....so im guessin the srt struts would be a start :) ive heard use the 1gn. but would i get the spring rates? or would it just be low? i dont want just low..

Go with the SRT springs then, you will enjoy the better handling!

You might want to get the alignment checked before auto-x! This should do this anytime you pull the struts off, especially when changing springs!
