if you kick your tire close to the bumper or driver door, does the wheel rattle? this will happen when the tie rod ends are wrecked... you can also take your front wheels off, and yank on the tie rod, they will usually pop when you pull up on the tied rod end, if it is junk.
Generally your outer tie rod ends are the first to wear out. So check them first. They are also fairly cheap and simple to replace. However you will need an alignment after, if you replace any parts.

my rim would shake a bit, and not just from the tire flexing or steering wheel turning. you could tell there is play there. if you can't seem to find any play there, jack it up, take one front wheel off at a time, and see if the tie rod end pops when you pull up on it. Be careful as you don't want to pull too hard with the jack jacked up.

I would put it in the air and and pull up and down on the tie rod end. If it moves, it's done for.
I replaced mine with a NAPA part (Lorenzo recco'd it to me and he was right on. It's about $50) and no problems since. I did not replace them both and it's been about a year and no issues so far with either side.
If you shake the tire back and forth and it moves, that's the wheel bearing.

If you shake the tire back and forth and it moves (top to bottom), that's the wheel bearing.

Probably shouldn't listen to anything your penis says, that guy's a dick.
Too much time spent here is a sign of a bad case of Ownaneonvirus.Patience, of course, is a very powerful weapon, but sometimes I start to regret that it is not a firearm.
