You can cut the inner tie rod ends, just make sure you have a die to clean it up aftewards...
I put my SXT and SRT racks side by side, the difference is very very small, only about 1/4" end to end, but when it comes down to the alignment, 1/4" of toe is a HUGE difference...

I have a spare rack, so if you mess up I can help you out for cheap.
Other differences are just purely in the handling of the rack and pinion. The SRT is a little stiffer and "sportier". I'll leave that to your interpretation since I do not know the exact differences off hand.

Everyone knows that for breasts to be "perfect" they need to be within reach.
SXT rack is 16:1, SRT is 18:1. R/T / ACR and SRT racks have a stiffer sportier feel and the SRT has a shorter turn radius lock to lock to accommodate larger whee/tire packages.

I dont think all PT's had the same knuckles and brakes as the SRT, I believe it is only the gt models.
Heck you can get the PT knuckles, calipers, and rotors...Its the same damn thing as the SRT, other than the red painted calipers.
I dont know what the prices differences may be, though. probably not too much.
Oh and dont forget the brake lines if you do, there different also!

You can get the SRT Knuckles for a good discount from OEMdodgeparts.com
I just had to buy mine from there.
You'll need
- Knuckles
- Hubs
- Bearings
- Bearing adapter plate and bolts (which is not sold at that website for some reason)
I suggest going through the route of buying them new because of the hell i've been through buying them used.... also... how many SRT's have you seen totaled out because they were rear ended that haven't already been scrapped out to an eager buyer for a full swap????

Did the SRT-4 front brake swap on my 2K1 R/T & trim down the steering rack rods about 3/4" on each site to be able to adjust my toe.
No problem ever since.
The only thing I needed is 5mm spacer to be able to keep my stock 16" R/T wheels. Caliper was rubing on the wheel spokes.
