I adjust the hand brake, I also check if the cable were ok and the are, but the brake shoes are not working properly...they are not moving from the inside to the exterior they are moving from outside the car to inside th car.
It's kind of hard to translate in French. They are just moving exactly like if IU hade put them on somethind round so the y are not goind to brake but only ''pivotate'' on them self.
is anybody understand what I am trying to say.
what is the problem with this

I used bable fish to translate, so if it make no sense, I apologize.
So the cables are operating the levers, but the shoes are not working correctly? Do you have disk or drum? from your signature it appears that you have disk. I have no experience with disk. so I can't help you much.

Is there any way to have them installed on the wrong sides? Like the left assembly on the right side and vise versa.

I own a 2002 with 4 wheel disc/abs brakes. The brakes only have a piston on the inboard side and they slide together to clamp the brake disc.My suggestion to you is make sure the surfaces that the caliper slides on is clean and use some molybdenum spray on the slides to make sure that everything moves freely.
