Post by mr_mopar_neon » Sun Feb 15, 2009 4:40 pm

hi every one hope you can all help

iv ihave green stuff pads all round with nitrac brakes (english brand) all round 2

but been having some over heating probs on my way to a show last year had some smoke coming from the drivers side rear on the way because rust had got into the platic piston stoping it from going back in to the caliper. not good while doing 90 +

any how same thing happend agen yesterday with the other rear side striped it down tonight to fined a nice crack in the pisten witch then a nice chunk fell of.

so am going to see if i can get a new piston by it self or get some better calipers all together

dose any one now of any brands doing neon calipers cant seem to fined any????

actually most American auto parts stores will sell just the piston or the caliper as sets.

I am not sure how many will ship to UK but here is a link to NAPA

SRT brakes still have the plastic piston. However, if you do the conversion to SRT you are then primed and ready to go for BBK that are out there, such as Wilwoods or Stoptek.
