Installing mine on Saturday. Car won't be moving for another week or two, though.

What is the fascination with these? why don't you get the Mopar performance/ SPC arms as they are tested and warrantied..... I have them and love them .......and you still have some sound insulation so the car will not get louder than it already is...

just curious......

Me.

Well, actually he did. He advertised it as using zinc platedrod ends (which are zinc plated low carbon steel). For even the "base model" chromoly rod ends it would cost over $190 for just the rod ends alone. The good teflon rod ends are $60 a piece, figure there's 8 of them, how much should a good set of links cost?

I'm not knocking the product or the guy, but just be aware of what components he's using. The low carbon sintered ball rod ends do not have the service life of the more expensive teflong rod ends (my post further up was based on the fact I run and have run teflon bearings all the time as they take an absolute shit kicking). And just because they're zinc plated doesn't mean they won't rust. I can take pictures of all the zinc plated fasteners on my car that have turned to a pile of rust if you like. Don't get me wrong, they're a nice looking piece and if you dumped the cash for good rod ends into them they wouldn't be half bad. Still, there's no hex on the body of link so that when the steel does corrode and seize up to the aluminum it'll be a lot harder to remove/adjust. If I were to get a set (I wouldn't as I would make something better) a good coating of grease or anti-seize would be mandatory on the threads to head this problem off.

How to fix your car:
1. Buy a Haynes manual
2. Read Haynes maual
3. Read and search appropriate threads, trust us, it's been covered before
4. Fix car
5. Consume beer of job well done

I'm with latief on this one.

At least for a DD.

I agree with a lot of what you are saying mattman. In fact, those reasons might have made me think twice had these LCAs been for my DD. However, since these are for my '00 (which is a show car and averages 1000-2000 miles per season) I don't see the wear and tear issue arising for me anytime soon. It also isn't exposed to the weather (snow/rain/etc).

So for me, I think these were a good choice to save a bit of money and still get a quality product from a reputable company. Just wanted to explain my reason behind purchasing these.
