That's a huge difference right there ...illuminas are in a different league when compared to the GR2s...the tokico blues are much cheaper and are better than GR2 .....

your options are:

OEM
Blues
GR2
Illuminas
SRT-4 Struts
Koni

Eventually, coilovers....

for a good all around strut that could handle some drop the blues are the most logical (and tested) choice for the regular neon.....plus they are cheap...! I have blues, and a lot of other people here have them and love them ....

what he said ^^^

the KYB GR2 are basically just an oem replacement strut.. they are not a performance strut.. and if you plan on lowering the car the KYB's are a no for that..

Tokico are the best for the money. Shox.com has the Tokico strut/spring combo for $364 shipped. It comes with matched Tokico springs (red) that lower the car 1.4 inches. My friend who ran them said it improved handling but the spring rate was very soft and very liveable for daily driving.

I plan on running Tokicos and SRT springs on my daily. Just a bit of drop, nice spring rate and not bottoming out on PA roads (well...most of the time)

Ive got Konis on my car. Quite a bit more work than just bolting on a ready-to-go strut, but WELL worth it.
