in my rear suspension. I've been reading and I'm assuming that the bushings are either shot or gone, but just wanted some outside opinions. The struts ride fine, no slumping or anything.

Am I due to send Modern $150 or so for the Prothane set and replace all the bushings in my entire suspension? I have no problem doing it, I just hope it solves my problem and improves the ride.

Stand in your trunk and jump up and down, can you hear the clunk? If so, have someone else jump in your trunk and you get down and listen to see if you can hear where it's coming from.

any vibration? when my bushings were going out I could feel the car vibrating when I heard the noise.
Could be the top hats on the struts maybe?

PS. I have a set of rear lateral arms and new Prothane bushings for them that I don't need. I was going to post them up for sale here sometime. but I'll give you first dibs if you're interested. save you from buying the whole set if you don't need it.

Well, I live in Minnesota, so all of our roads are crap and really bumpy, so during any driving situation I hear it when I drive over any sort of bump. It's mostly a click when going over bumps with an occasional clunk...I'll get back with more info after I drive to work here in a minute or so.

Get under the car and have a look for yourself. Bad bushings are pretty easy to see (torn, crooked, missing, etc). Could be a strut issue too.
