I've recently put new tires on 7spoke 15" sxt rims with 205/50/15

When i drive 70ish on freeway my steering starts going left-right then it stops for a little bit and then start doing same thing again.

Checked alignment everything is fine and steady. Checked my wheel bearings they OK. Is there something in the steering? when i turn my steering wheel it makes clicking noise i don't know if it's normal or what (when car is off). It feels like the problem coming from steering wheel just don't know where to look or how to fix it, out of ideas.



Are those hard to install yourself and would i need to do my alignment again? Anybody installed them yourself with out redoing the alignment again, kinda off of subject but that's my next little mod cause my stock ones are kinda wore out.

Not too sure about the first part other than it shouldn't click when you turn the wheel, on or off. As for the bushings, you'll have to have your camber redone I believe. Install isn't too bad if you have the hands tools and a torch (or pay someone to press the old ones out).

Could be the inner or outer tie rods. Fighting the car on the highway is usually one of the signs. Grab the tie rod and push/pull/shake it and listen for any noise or play. A bad inner tie rod usually has play and makes a little noise.

check the inner tie rods asap. mine had nearly fallen apart.

I just replaced my bushings with the ones you put up and although the old ones were pretty destroyed, they didn't make any noise like you're saying. They aren't hard to replace if you do liek the previous said. I did have to get an alignment but mostly because I also replaced all struts and springs all around.

I raised my car took off both wheels was checking inner and outer tie rods they seem strong, even tho i discovered one of my rear rim is bent inside maybe that's why it throws the steering wheel when i drive. I don't know after putting it all back seems like the problem went away, still little vibration but a lot better. Even tho when i was turning the steering wheel i didn't like the noise i was hearing sounded like metal rubbing inside i don't know if it's normal or not.

And on those bushings i found a guy he said just drop off the car and he'll press out those old once and put new once in and he said i don't need to do an alignment 75 buck all of it don't have to touch it, i think it's a good deal.

$75 to remove the LCA's from the car, remove and install new bushings, and put it all back together!? Damn cheap work right there.

Make sure the tire pressure is even on both sides. It could just be wind messing with your car, sometimes mine will get pushed around a bit.

Not all roads are level by the way, most are slanted to help water drainage.

Bad LCA bushings will make your car pull one way or the other. When mine were bad, I could change direction via lifting or pushing the throttle. The clicking may be a bad halfshaft. (axel)

maybe the first time the wheels screw not tight enough. that happened to me when the shitty garage don't make all screw tight to the proper level and a wheel almost came off later.

Yeah, forgot about that. A clicking while turning usually means a CV joint in the half-shaft is bad.
