Speed sensitive valve on P/S pump

Post by Donkeypuncher » Thu Oct 15, 2009 3:30 pm

Just curious if anyone has tried to adjust this on their P/S pump, or if it's even possible on ours. I'm sure you guys notice that it's harder to turn the steering wheel as the rpms get higher. It might be dangerous on the highway, but I figure some of you track racing guys may benefit from it.

Here's a link about it for the avenger/sebring, not sure if our pump is setup similarly to theirs. http://asog.net/content/view/24/25/

Actually, I think that makes some sense......

Making the steering harder to turn at higher RPM's / Higher ROADWAY speeds might make sense, in some situations.
At high road speeds, turning the steering too quickly could cause loss of control.

It would definitely make daily driving much more interesting. You would see a lot more roll overs and cars spinning out at higher speeds.
