Hi everyone. I have a chance to pick up 4 cross drilled/slottedrotors and pads at a decent price. Now the fronts are unchanged so Im good there. Its the rears I have a question about.

I swapped my drums to an 05 srt 4 rear disc setup. I'm 90% sure the pads are the same and will work but will the rotors work. Not sure if there were any differences with the thickness. Let me know. Thanks



P.S. I was looking online and found a company called brake performance. I guess that they only do brake rotors and pads. Seems to have good reviews. SO worse case I'm gonna try them out since they offer a lifetime warranty on rotors and pads.

The Neon rear rotor is thinner than the SRT rear rotor. Here's a view looking at both from the ends. These are original uncut rotors from Chrysler.



Interesting to see that the minimum thickness is the same for both rotors, so in theory you could cut an SRT rotor and a Neon rotor to their minimums and use either on an SRT. Other than thickness I don't know what other difference there is between these two. (SRT left R/T right)



All this said SRT rear calipers and regular Neon rear calipers differ more than just in color. SRT calipers have a bigger piston and must also allow for a thicker rotor than Neon calipers. I found this out when I installed the SRT rotors on my car, they worked just fine when I installed them with my original pads that had some wear. When it came time for new pads I found that with the pistons retracted fully and new pads installed I could install them over the SRT rotors but they would drag, they just didn't have that extra millimeter of travel needed to keep the new pads from dragging on the rotors. The place I bought the pads from list the same part number rear pads for SRT and Neon.

In your case you would be doing the opposite, SRT calipers and Neon rotors. Seeing as the SRT rotor and Neon rotor minimum thickness is the same, I don't see why they wouldn't work for you.
